JLPFI welcomes each of you to a far different "normal" than any of us are used to. These times of global uncertainty bring a wake-up call to all of us to always be prepared!
No one can predict when this storm will be over and we have important choices to make on many levels. Our human nature is to keep connected, though we are forced to stay apart. JLPFI has always instructed those that conceal carry to "keep their distance" from unknown contacts. Social distancing is a common place for us to be aware and never let our personal space be invaded. Our personal motivation should be to assess every day that has passed in our lives and embrace our existence for the days ahead. All of us are questioning how long this will carry on and the balance beam of health and economic recovery hangs in the balance. Obviously the longer our country is shut down and panic sets in, the social unrest may surely follow.
The breaking news is that the Trump administration just declared the firearms, ammunition and ranges across the country are ESSENTIAL to the safety of all citizens of the United States. Our home range, Sun Mountain Gun Club is currently open for business and offers individual pistol shooting bays for your safety. If you choose to shelter in place, clear the weapon and entire room of any ammo. Make time to rehearse drawing your weapon from your holster through dry fire practice. Work on magazine seating, emergency reloads and magazine changes with your eyes closed or the lights off. Know how to operate your weapon by feel.
JLPFI experienced a dramatic increase in contact during March for initial firearms training as many first time purchasers are seeking professional training to equip them with the safety, knowledge of nomenclature and operation of their new firearms. The demand for firearms and ammunition during this time has exceeded the Obama election era of panic buying and fear of what our government will implement.

Our courses will continue as planned for April in small group format with mandatory social distancing in an outdoor setting for the safety and wellness of all of our clients. Our ever changing world should motivate you to continue your training regimen with confidence and operate with whatever faith system you have adopted in life!
Don't forget, JLPFI conducts tactical shotgun and carbine courses for those who possess these type of weapons. Claim them as range kings instead of safe queens!

JLPFI has the proof that our membership benefits are worth every training session of time and money well spent. The 2nd commandment of concealed carry is: DO NOT HESITATE. The challenge is to eliminate the "pause" in your personal defense. This JLPFI member has been challenged with a year of training, experiencing the discoveries of speed and accuracy delivered from the holster time and time again. This client is faithful to complete home dry fire drills between his 2 monthly sessions with JLPFI. What once was somewhat overwhelming through the initial months of "conscious" training developed into the "subconscious" of this member through repetition and muscle memory sequencing. Every session provided is different from the prior session with enforcement of safety first, specific weapon operation protocols and producing a fast and efficient draw from the mandatory adequate holster. This member was initially hesitant to carry very often, and now has eliminated the possibility of a "reactionary pause" and adopted a subconscious of safe, confident carry through extensive training.
For all of you that have experienced the JLPFI training experience, you know how important mastering the fundamentals are to the success of your mission. Our concepts of instruction remain personalized to each client and take into account the individual factors of both the operator and the nuances of the weapon at hand.
