New Shooter Confidence is UP in July!
July was an extraordinary month for JLPFI instructing just as many first and second time shooters than CCW applicants or CCW renewals! Behold the first shot from a clients Kimber K6S .357 revolver at a 7 yard distance above! This shot was taken only after JLPFI introduced the entire protocol of safe handling, nomenclature explanation, review of fundamentals and dry fire warm up that is usually a guaranteed recipe for success for any new firearms owner to build the confidence needed! The smiles were endless this month among many clients shooting for the very first time. JLPFI hosted a private corporate event of 9 new shooters who were able to fire a variety of weapons over the course of two hours! Every weapon used was a new adventure to discover the characteristics of each weapon and how the fit, actuation of the action and recoil of the weapon can ultimately determine ones decision for purchasing down the road! A big thank you to each and every NEW SHOOTER in July for your courage to take that big step of getting through the first shot and moving on into the journey of safe ownership of your weapons!

Maintenance Tips- Swab-It!
JLPFI believes in keeping weapons in tip top shape! Take time after that range session to give your weapon the attention to detail it deserves with Swab Its! JLPFI is now a proud retailer of this great product for our clients to purchase at our training courses. These foam bore tips and brushes are light years ahead of the traditional nylon tooth brush or cotton swab that leaves fibers in your weapon. The Swab It tools extract all contaminates with your favorite cleaning agent (Slip 2000) and leave your weapons like new without leaving any residue!
Super Brush/Swab-its® foam swabs are the go-to replacement for outdated, fuzzy cotton swabs. When precision and cleanliness are important, our foam swabs provide the tool for getting the job done right. With over 3,000 styles of foam swabs, we have a swab for every job.
Our swabs offer the following advantages:
• Foam heads that are gentle on delicate parts
• Sturdy plastic handles that do not splinter and break like wooden sticks
